This past weekend, Pastor Deric preached from Mark 12:41-44 in a message titled “The Widow’s Mite.” Through the example of the poor widow, we were reminded that God measures generosity not by the size of the gift, but by the heart that gives. While others gave out of their abundance, her offering reflected a deep trust in God, as she gave all she had to live on. This passage calls us to examine not only what we give, but how we give, pointing us to a posture of wholehearted devotion and dependence on the Lord.
