This past Sunday, Deric Bartlett preached from Hebrews 11:20–22 in a sermon titled “The Blessing of Faith.”
Through the lives of Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph, we were reminded that God's covenant blessings extend beyond the present generation and are received by faith in His promises. Even as these patriarchs approached the end of their lives, they looked ahead with confidence, blessing those who would follow after them and trusting that God would accomplish all He had promised. Their worship, hope, and final words reflected a faith anchored not in present circumstances, but in the certainty of God's covenant faithfulness.
