WEEK OF PRAYER

As we begin our Week of Prayer in preparation for Easter, please save this email as a daily reminder to pause, reflect, and seek God’s guidance.

PREPARING OUR HEARTS FOR EASTER:

A PRAYER JOURNEY

As we approach Easter, we are invited to set our hearts and minds on Jesus, His life, His sacrifice, and His victory over sin and death. This email is designed to guide you in prayerful reflection, helping you to align your heart with Christ during this season.

Each section provides a prayer focus rooted in Scripture, leading us through adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication. These prompts encourage us to worship Jesus as the risen King, recognize our need for Him, express gratitude for the cross, and seek His strength to follow Him daily.

May these prayers draw you closer to Christ and deepen your understanding of His love and redemption.

Adoration  "He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying." Matthew 28:6

Praise Jesus for His victory over sin and death. (Matthew 28:6)  Reflect on Jesus’ authority over the Heavens and the Earth. (Matthew 28:18)  Worship Him as the risen King who reigns forever.

Confession  RECOGNIZING OUR NEED FOR CHRIST

"But He was pierced for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed." Isaiah 53:5

Reflect on the weight of the cross and Jesus’ sacrifice for your sins.  Remember that peace with God was achieved through the suffering and death of Jesus.  Following Jesus’ example, ask the Spirit to give you the courage to forgive and to ask for forgiveness to those that you need to reconcile with. Matthew 5:23-24

Thanksgiving  GRATITUDE FOR THE CROSS

"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." – Romans 5:8

Thank Jesus for His unconditional love and the grace he has for us, whose sins put him on the cross. - Luke 23:34  Express gratitude for the salvation and new life He has given you.  Reflect on how His death and resurrection have changed your life.

Supplication  STRENGTH TO CARRY THE CROSS

"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." – Romans 5:8

Thank Jesus for His unconditional love and the grace he has for us, whose sins put Him on the cross. (Luke 23:34)  Express gratitude for the salvation and new life He has given you.  Reflect on how His death and resurrection have changed your life.
