The Practice of Faith | Deric Bartlett | 2026-05-31

June 2, 2026
This past Sunday, Pastor Deric preached from Hebrews 11:4–7 in a sermon titled β€œThe Practice of Faith.”  We were reminded that genuine faith is never merely professed; it is practiced. Through the examples of Abel, Enoch, and Noah, Hebrews 11 shows us that true faith reveals itself in worship, fellowship with God, and obedient action.

These faithful witnesses remind us that faith is more than intellectual agreement; it is a life of trust expressed through devotion, perseverance, and obedience. As we draw near to God, believe His promises, and follow Him faithfully, we learn what it means to live a life that honours Him and bears witness to His grace.

Sermon Notes:

By faith Abel worshipped God (v. 4)
By faith Enoch walked with God (vv. 5–6)
By faith Noah obeyed God (v. 7)
