The Conviction of Faith | Deric Bartlett | 2026-05-17
Pastor Deric preached from Hebrews 11:1–3 in a sermon titled “The Conviction of Faith.”  We were reminded that biblical faith is more than intellectual belief or positive thinking. True faith is a deep conviction that what God has said is true, producing confidence that shapes the way we live. Hebrews 11 teaches that faith assures us that the Christian hope is real and enables us to trust what cannot yet be seen with the naked eye.

This passage also points us to the testimony of faithful believers who have gone before us. Their lives remind us to stand firm with courage and conviction, trusting fully in the promises of God. Finally, we were reminded that by faith we understand that the world was created by the power of God’s Word and continues to exist under His sovereign rule.
