Forgiveness | Mike Garabedian | 02-01-26
Guest speaker Mike Garabedian shared a hope-filled message entitled, “Forgiveness”, drawn from Luke 17:1–10. The sermon called us to understand forgiveness not as a feeling, but as a faithful, obedient response flowing from a transformed heart.
We explored the depth of forgiveness by considering the root meaning of the word itself:
FOR — Complete, whole, lacking nothing
GIVE — Pardon, released from punishment
NESS — Action, not an emotion
• Faith
• Love
• Hope
We were challenged with a clear spiritual contrast:
“The root of bitterness produces the shoot of unforgiveness, which yields the fruit of malice and discontentment.”
But also encouraged with gospel clarity:
“The root of faith produces the shoot of forgiveness, which yields the fruit of peace and joy.”
This message calls us to uproot bitterness, cultivate faith, and walk in the freeing obedience of forgiveness for the glory of God and the joy of His people.
