This past Sunday, Pastor Bryan preached from Mark 9:2–13 in a message titled “A Confirmation of Glory and Grief.”
Through the account of the Transfiguration, we were reminded that Jesus’ divine glory was revealed to His disciples, confirming His identity as the beloved Son of God. Yet even in this moment of unveiled glory, Christ pointed forward to the suffering that must come, showing that the path to redemption would pass through the cross.
His mission included both exaltation and suffering, according to the sovereign plan of God.
